Top Ten Thursday!

What I'm most grateful for:

  1. Food. I don't care if I get fat, at least I'll enjoy the process.
  2. Air conditioning. If any of you know me, you know my internal thermostat is out of whack and I'm always hot. A cool down is always nice.
  3. My testimony. It get me through each and every day safely.
  4. My true friends. Since I've come to college I've really realized who is important and who's not. For those that are, they are my rock and I cannot thank them enough for all that they do to me.
  5. Cuddles.
  6. Sweet boys. Yes, they do exist girls!
  7. Comfy beds. Nothing is better than a long day and collapsing for a lovely slumber.
  8. Technology. As pathetic as it sounds, I seriously don't know how people survived before our time!
  9. Smart people. People that possess common sense. 'Nuff said.
  10. And most importantly, my family. I've really gained a greater appreciation for them this past year and I know I am stuck with them for a reason :) I love you all!

Top Ten Thursday!

Things I love about missionaries:

1. They are devoting 24/7 of their lives for 24 months to the Lord.

2.  Their hilarious stories they get to tell you!

3. Their suits, ties, cute little haircuts... the whole shebang!

4.  Going to the mailbox and seeing their name on the envelope!

5. Sharing testimonies through letters.

6. Suddenly becoming obsessed with the city they're serving in.

7. Their name tags. It made sound weird, but they're wearing the Lord's name at all times and representing him wherever they go. Shouldn't we all be that way anyways?

8. The countdowns. Countdowns are fun for any holiday or occasion but what's better than waiting for one to come home?

9. The awkwardness they have when they begin socializing with "normal" people again.

10. Seeing them come down the escalators at the airport and the tears shed at that moment. Best moment ever.

Side note:  27 days!!! I cannot wait! December 7. 4 pm. Please come faster!!!!

Top Ten Thursday!

Items of clothing I wish I could buy if I had the money:

Seeing how I am a poor college student, it's about everything....
Church clothes. They are running very slim right now.
This coat!
Rocks. I have an obsession with jeans. And, mine are getting pretty worn. :(

A plethora of scarves.
darling shoes.

It's all about school pride.

Big Stars. Probably the most durable jeans I've ever owned. Why not get more?

Necklaces. Accessories are my best friend.

Boots! I love boots and I'm pretty sure I couldn't have too many in Logan.

Seeing how everyone can see my computer at the moment, I will not be putting a picture of my tenth thing(s).
Bras and panties.
Please donate to this fund, it is a necessity.

Top Ten Thursday!

Favorite things about Fall:

  1. The smell. It just has a nice, warm, spice, homey kind of smell.
  2. The colors.
  3. Pumpkins. I just think they are so darn cute and festive.
  4. The decorations. This is the season where Judy has everything. Our house is very cute.
  5. The chill in the air. It's the perfect season for a light jacket. Not to be confused with April 25th.
  6. The attire. Going along with 5; boots, scarves, cardigans, jackets, long sleeves. Oohlala.
  7. Egg Nog. Hello, taste bud sensation.
  8. The festivities. From carving pumpkins, corn mazes, haunted houses, hay rides, to Thanksgiving.
  9. The romance. This is usually when the actual romances begin vs. the summer fling. People being falling for each other. You can laugh, I'm funny.
  10. The warmth. The colors. The hot cider or chocolate. The fireplace. Cuddling up in a blanket.

* if you got my reference to #5, kudos to you!

Top Ten Thursday: You know you go to Utah State when...

10. There are more bikes, longboards, and razor scooters than pedestrians.

9. The Aggie Shuttle is the main mean of transportation. Oh, and the bus drivers are SUPER attractive! (Well, most)

8. Blue is everyone's favorite color.

7. Almost everyone around you hates BYU. (Yeah, I feel a little out of place...)

6. You can roll out of bed, go to class and no one cares,

5. You rarely run into the same people.

4. Kissing is everyone's favorite topic.

3. You go to the library, the TSC, or generally walk around campus and there are people sleeping in the most random places.

2. AG is a cool thing.

1. Aggie Ice Cream is very easily accesible and costs 6 bucks at the grocery store! (mmmm, Aggie Blue Mint)

Top Ten Thursday!

Mean things I wish I could do to people (but won't):

10. Slap people who make dumb remarks just to be funny. Yeah, buddy, no matter how many times you say it, it's still NOT funny!

9. Throw a frozen banana at someone. Death by banana.

8. Hit pedestrians who run in front of the your car. Yeah, don't mind me, I'm just in a vehicle that could crush your body.

7. Tip someone out of a wheelchair. I know, I'm an awful person.

6. Take out all of my aggressiveness on one person--i.e. punching, kicking, scratching, pinching...

5. Take a baseball bat to someones window.

4. Run those people who think they own the store over with a cart.

3. Tell everyone what's on my mind and what I think of them.

2. Put dye in someone's shower head. Say hello to a more colorful you.

1. Ring someones door bell and kneel down. When they answer the door, punch in the... you know where...

I promise I will never to these things, so, don't judge!

Top Ten Thursday: Embarrassing Moments.

Good golly, I seriously embarrass myself on a day to day basis! It's something I do, it's a part of what makes me, me! Because they happen so often I tend to forget them, so I will try my best to remember them. Actually, I'll just say the ones that come to mind. (I'm awful at telling short stories so this post will probably be really long, you've been warned)

10. While e-mailing back and forth with my mentor for this year, we were talking about things that interest us and clubs and all that jazz. He asked me what clubs I was thinking of joining. Me, being the smarty pants I think I am, says: "Oh, I was thinking of joining the MUSS!" Mind you, I go to Utah State. To that, he replies, "The MUSS is actually associated with the U of U, our version of that is called 'The HURD'. Nice one, Ashlee. A lovely first impression you have made. AND, I'm not even a Utes fan so I don't know why I said that!

9. One day while I was working away and had the lovely duty of cleaning the restrooms, I was having issues with the vacuum and needed some assistance. Jeff, being the gem he is, came to help me figure out what was wrong. Side note: we were in the women's restroom and there was a sign that clearly stated that it was 'closed for cleaning'. As we were standing there trying to fix the vacuum, all of the sudden we hear these really strange 'bathroom noises' and a lady says very sternly, "there's someone in here! Get out!" We quickly left the bathroom and about peed ourselves from laughing so hard. Then I left bathroom duty for awhile, giving lady enough time to do her business, and came back and walk in and there she is, washing her hands and giving me an awful look. I slightly smiled and turned away, blushing really badly.

8. At a wonderful NJHS social in 9th, we were playing an intense game of Musical Chairs. We were down to the last two people (myself, and Kellie) and me being the competitor I am, was determined to win this game. The music stopped and we both jumped to the chair and she pushed me off and I fell really weird and hurt my knee. I didn't think much of it and continued on with the party. I got home and looked at my knee and it was the size of a softball. No joke! We went to the Dr's and I don't remember what the diagnoses was but long story short, I messed my knee up forever from that game.

7. During one of the many performances during Christmas Season with the Madrigals, we were singing "Fruitcake" and I had Amber on my back and we were doing chicken fights. My heal got caught in a crack and I rolled my ankle and down we went. In front of everybody. In dresses.

6. Not getting my first kiss 'till I was 18.

5. At the choir banquet Kayla, Camie, and I were just partyin' away when I remembered I found this long hair coming out of this weird freckle/mole on my neck. I started freaking out and asked one of them to pull it out. Camie volunteered and it hurt! Like a mother! But, I was able to finish the night moley hairless.

4. So one day Kayla and I decided to go to Best Buy and buy me a web cam. On our way there we were rockin' out to Next to Normal and as I was getting out of the car I was singing at the top of my lungs, totally off key and this guy starts laughing and tells me that I'll be the next American Idol. It was super embarrassing but funny nonetheless.

3. Almost getting caught streaking with my friends. This one explains itself.

2. One time. I was kissing this boy. I liked this boy. I also liked kissing this boy. While we were kissing I suddenly couldn't breath. I tried to catch my breath. I made a weird noise. He laughed. I was mortified.

1. Last March I was trying to be a good citizen and decided to donate blood. Everything went well and I felt fine during the drawing but I had to pee so badly! I asked the nurse man if I could run to the bathroom when I was done and then come back and have my treats. He said it wouldn't be a problem at all. As I'm walking there, I start to feel really sick to my stomach and my hearing starts to go all weird and distant. I hurried even faster to the bathroom and basically ran into the stall. I finished my business and got up to button up my pants and the next thing I know, I'm on the floor. I don't know why, but I didn't think much of it and decided I should probably get back before I pass out. Yeah, dumb, I know. I wasn't thinking clearly. As I was leaving the bathroom I passed out again and fell into the brick wall. The hall monitor comes over to me as I'm waking up and asks if I'm taking a nap... Yeah, lady, 'cause this is where everyone naps--on the floor of the hallway/bathroom! What kind of question is that?! Once again, long story short; I left that incident with a broken nose, concussion, and lovely face to show my battle I lost with the wall. I still get crap about it today.

Top Ten Thursday: Things I'm attracted to on guys (:

Yep, I'm being super unoriginal and ditching my start of 'Tuesday Ten' and getting in the loop with my friends with 'Top Ten Thursdays'. Yep, I'll probably get crap from them but I think they should feel honored that I am copying them (: (p.s. this isn't in order of preference)

10. Smiles (: Oh my, I can totally melt if a guy has a great smile. He may not be attractive in any other way but if he can flaunt them pearly whites, I am hooked. I am especially a sucker for crooked smiles (smile, not teeth) there's something about them that is edgy and a total turn-on!

9. Humor. He has to be able to make me laugh. There's nothing worse than being with a dull person and awkwardly sitting there twiddling your thumbs trying to figure out something to discuss. I feel also that sarcasm in him is a must.

8. Hands and forearms. I don't know exactly what it is but there's something about guys hands and forearms that I find super attractive! Especially if they are working out or lifting something heavy and their veins pop out!

7. Spiritual. There is nothing more attractive than a man dedicated to the gospel and not afraid to show it. It's not a mystery why missionaries are so dang attractive!

6. Brown hair. It probably sounds super dumb, but I love brown hair. Once again, I'm not sure why, but I love it!

5. Musical. Since music is such a big part of my life I want it to be something that I can share and connect with a guy, too. If you ever want to win my heart, play the piano for me or sing. Or even better, do both!

4. Sensitivity. Although this often gets me into trouble, I am attracted to it. A guy who isn't afraid to express his feelings and be sensitive to me and to others is very appealing (but that doesn't mean acting like a girl) Especially if they have a spontaneous romantic side (:

3. Lips. Haha, I feel kinda creepy saying it but I do find lips VERY attractive! Especially pouty/pucker lips or just having a bigger bottom lip (that one's hard to explain)

2. Scent. It doesn't even have to be cologne or anything. I really just like to the smell of guys (even if it's sweaty, it shows that they're a hard worker) but a good cologne or aftershave is definitely a plus!

1. Personality. I know, it sounds so cliche, but I'd take a great personality over good looks any day.
